British music star is now a multi-millionaire after two number one albums
HE’S the Geordie indie sensation who’s won two Brit Awards and delivered two number one albums.
Now the latest accounts for singer/songwriter Sam Fender show he’s a multi-millionaire after years of hard graft.
Sam Fender has earned a fortune in the last few years[/caption] The musician has had two number one albums[/caption]The 30-year-old’s net worth is more than £2million following the success of records Hypersonic Missiles and Seventeen Going Under and sold out tours – including a huge gig at hometown ground St James’s Park last summer.
Documents submitted to Companies House show SF Live LLP, of which Sam is a member, has £1,482,000 in its banks while SF Touring Ltd, of which Sam is director, has £787,000 in its reserves.
He’s built formidable music connections in recent years from a collaboration with rising US star Noah Kahan to supporting Bruce Springsteen and The Killers and hanging out with the late guitar virtuoso Jeff Beck and Johnny Depp when the actor was in the North East last year with his Hollywood Vampires band.
But new music doesn’t appear to be on the horizon just yet.
Back in April Sam said he felt he rushed the release of his sophomore album and wants to take his time with his third – so it surpasses all expectations.
He said: “We have been recording and recording and making loads of stuff but it got to the point where I thought, ‘We don’t need to get this out yet. We need to get it right’.
“For the second one we rushed to get that out and the third one we started rushing and I thought, ‘No, we have got to take the time’.
“I want to do the best I possibly can. I’d rather it be late and great than early and s**te.”
But he added: “What we have got so far I am absolutely over the moon with but I want to give it that bit more time and more thought.”
During an interview on Johnson And Knopfler’s Music Legends,on Sky Arts, he revealed being bullied at school gave him the drive to succeed.
Sam said: “Schoolyard bullying is what makes a rock star. It is either going to put you down or it is going to make you work harder for it.”
