FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Good Wednesday evening,

It has been another very warm day with highs back in the 90s for the 19th time this year. We have had a couple of complexes of storms diving southeast, just clipping the southwest corner of the state. Some isolated thunder showers were expected north of this, and have dropped a few bits of rain in Central Ohio.

Early tonight, we will have some isolated showers, maybe a rumble of thunder or two, with warm and muggy conditions overnight, and lows in the lower 70s. Thursday, expect partly cloudy skies again, with a slightly better chance of afternoon showers and storms that we saw today. Some of these storms could be strong to severe with gusty rains, frequent lightning, and heavy pockets of rain possible. Highs on Thursday will again be in the lower 90s.

Friday, the axis of rain showers and storms will be situated a bit more over our area, and should give us our best chances of rain area-wide, with highs in the upper 80s. A few strong storms cannot be ruled out on Friday too. Friday night into Saturday showers will still be in the forecast. Expect showers to continue in the area on Saturday with high temps near normal in the middle 80s.

Skies will begin to clear on Sunday with highs back above normal in the upper 80s to near 90. We will stay near 90 with mainly sunny skies on Monday. A few clouds will return for Tuesday, with another hot day expected, with highs in the lower 90s.

By Wednesday, our next weak front will approach the area, with partly cloudy skies, and isolated thundershowers possible, especially later in the day with that frontal passage, with highs in the upper 80s.
