Police: Niskayuna woman arrested for assault
NISKAYUNA, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A Niskayuna woman was arrested by the Niskayuna Police Department on Tuesday for assault after allegedly stabbing another person. Police said Pioria Dean, 23, was charged with second-degree assault and first-degree criminal contempt.

- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Third-degree menacing
According to police, Dean and the victim were involved in a domestic dispute around 9:30 p.m. at the Hillcrest Village West Apartments. Police added the victim was suffering from a stab wound when they arrived.
Dean was turned over to the Schenectady County Sheriff's Office for arraignment. The Niskayuna Police Department asks anyone who witnessed the dispute to contact Detective Ian Munger by calling (518) 386-4500 ext. 4589.
