'He's busy with his makeup': Trump skewered as Black journalists event delayed
Former President Donald Trump's delayed appearance at the National Association of Black Conference Wednesday caused an uproar on social media.
Trump had yet to mount the stage in Chicago as of 2 p.m., an hour after he was slated to field questions from Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner, Semafor reporter Kadia Goba and ABC News correspondent Rachel Scott, MSNBC's Katie Phang reported.
"Trump has yet to show up," Phang wrote at 1:43 p.m. "The audience is getting antsy."

Trump's War Room posted on X that audio issues were to blame, but that didn't stop Phang's followers from sharing other ideas.
"Someone told him he couldn’t control the questions and Harris Faulkner could only run so much interference," replied X user PJamma. "And there would be a live fact check."
"He's busy with his makeup," quipped AmbitiousGunner.
"Maybe he had to pickup his ear from the cleaners?" wrote Brandy.
"Still napping," replied Kathleen Cassidy.
Hours before the event began, Trump took to Truth Social to complain the organization had extended an invitation to Vice President Kamala Harris to address the organization in September.
"Now I am told that she is doing the Event on ZOOM," Trump wrote. "WHAT’S GOING ON HERE?"
