Normalcy returns in many taluks of Dakshina Kannada district

Mangaluru saw a return to normalcy after heavy rains battered the district. Bantwal taluk recorded the highest rainfall at 221mm. A red alert was issued for Dakshina Kannada and an orange alert for Udupi and Uttara Kannada. Landslides on NH169 caused traffic disruptions. Several houses were damaged, but river levels remained below danger marks.
