Govt appointed over 40,000 people in education sector in last 4-5 years: Dharmendra Pradhan

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan disclosed in the Rajya Sabha that the Central government has filled over 40,000 vacancies in the education sector over the last 4-5 years. He said that the government had introduced a system of Professors of Practice (PoP) to bring industry experts to higher academic institutions. The PoPs will not be permanent positions but aim to enhance education with expertise and new ideas, aligning with the New Education Policy's focus on competency and employability.
