Met issues 'orange' alert for heavy to very heavy rain in Himachal on August 1

The regional Met office has issued an orange alert for heavy rain with thunderstorms across Himachal Pradesh, except Kinnaur and Lahaul & Spiti, for Thursday. A yellow alert has been issued for Friday, with rains expected till August 6. Potential landslides and flash floods are expected in vulnerable areas. So far, rain-related incidents have caused 65 fatalities since June 27.
