Initial output from Sylvania Platinum’s new tailings project on track for first half of 2025

First production from the developing Thaba Joint Venture (JV) chrome and platinum group metals (PGMs) recovery project on the northern part of the western limb of South Africa’s well-endowed Bushveld Complex is expected in the first half of next year, the London Aim-listed Sylvania Platinum stated on Wednesday. “The project will transform us into a significant chrome producer as we continue our examination of other opportunities,” Sylvania CEO Jaco Prinsloo highlighted in a fourth-quarter to June 30 report.
