Azam Khan acquitted in forcible eviction case, remains in jail in other cases

Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan was acquitted by a Rampur court in a case from 2016 involving forcible eviction and house demolition. The case was registered in 2019 under BJP rule. Khan remains in Sitapur prison due to other cases. Proceedings were held via video-conference because of his health issues. Five others were also acquitted.
