7/31/2024: Warm, humid, and unsettled Wednesday
The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:
It's the last day of July, and it'll sure feel like it with some very warm and humid weather. A passing area of low pressure keeps us cloudy and brings a few rounds of rain, as well.
Temperatures rise from the 70's this morning to the low or mid 80's this afternoon - not "off-the-charts" hot, but with incredibly high humidity, it's far from a comfortable feel. In the afternoon, a few thunderstorms and heavier downpours will likely develop.
Rain wraps up after sunset. Tonight, temperatures fall into the mid or upper 60's across most of the region. It'll stay humid, as well.
Tomorrow is warm, and perhaps a little bit less humid - but still noticeably muggy with highs in the low 90's. Most stay dry, with only a few isolated afternoon showers or sprinkles.
Friday features a similar feel. Most of the day is dry, save for a chance evening shower or storm. More unsettled for the weekend, with higher humidity (especially Saturday) and shower/storm chances.
Monday looks drier, but still warm and slightly muggy. More comfortable with highs in the low 80's for Tuesday.
