BANISH BUMPS
Strawberry legs are “pesky dark spots” that often appear on the skin after shaving.
Walker said the key to avoiding the unsightly bumps that look like the seeds of a strawberry is “proper exfoliation.”
“Regularly using a gentle exfoliant will help keep pores clear and prevent the build-up that leads to those dark spots,” she said.
“Additionally, consider using a razor with a moisturizing strip and replace blades frequently to avoid dullness, which can contribute to this issue.”
She said a smooth shave can make a big difference when aiming for a flawless look in swimsuits.
“To ensure a close, irritation-free shave, start by exfoliating your skin to remove dead cells and prevent ingrown hairs,” she said.
“Use a good-quality shaving cream or gel to create a protective barrier and reduce friction.
“Always shave in the direction of hair growth to minimize irritation and avoid razor bumps.
“And don’t forget to moisturize after shaving to keep your skin soft and smooth.”
PREVENT PAINFUL CHAFING
Skin can become red and sore when it repeatedly rubs against clothes or there is skin-on-skin contact on areas such as the inner thighs.
Walker said there are a few simple steps that can prevent chafing.
Moisturize daily to help your tan last longer and fade evenly.

“Look for anti-chafe creams or gels, which create a barrier to reduce friction,” she said.
“Cotton clothing is breathable and helps prevent irritation while ensuring you stay hydrated and can also keep your skin in good condition.”
ENHANCE YOUR COMPLEXION
Walker said exfoliating the skin is also important when applying fake tan to achieve a “flawless faux glow.
She shared the technique that gives impressive results when done at home.
“Use a tanning mitt to apply the product in circular motions for a streak-free finish,” she said.
“It’s best to choose a tan that matches your skin tone for a natural look, and always remember to wash your hands thoroughly after application to avoid orange palms.
“Finally, moisturize daily to help your tan last longer and fade evenly.”
STOP SWEAT STAINS
Walker said sweat stains are a common concern in the warmer months but are preventable.
“To combat this, opt for antiperspirants rather than deodorants, as they help to reduce sweating,” she said.
“For extra protection, try wearing an undershirt made from moisture-wicking fabrics.
“And remember, always apply antiperspirant to clean, dry skin for best results.”
