Celeb skin doctor’s top skincare recs for your 20s, 30s, & on including an ‘all-rounder’ for elasticity & inflammation

SKIN elasticity can be maintained by introducing powerful ingredients into your routine at the right age, as revealed by a celebrity doctor.

Dr. Simon Ourian’s anti-aging skincare advice includes habits and products to embrace from your 20s onwards.

Dr. Ourian is a celebrity cosmetic dermatologist trusted by the likes of the Kardashian-Jenner family, Lady Gaga, and Winnie Harlow.

Speaking to The U.S. Sun, he shared tips for maintaining a youthful appearance.

AGING ANTIDOTES

Dr. Ourian said various ingredients target the first signs of aging on the skin.

He recommended including niacinamide (vitamin B3) in beauty routines from your early 20s.

“Niacinamide is a great all-rounder to reduce inflammation, improve skin elasticity, and strengthen the skin barrier,” he said. 

He revealed that the skin should also be kept hydrated to avoid the development of fine lines. 

“Hyaluronic Acid is a great ingredient to hydrate and plump the skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines, and maintain moisture levels,” he said.

“You can start this in your 20’s. 

“Another fantastic ingredient is vitamin C, an antioxidant that brightens skin tone, reduces hyperpigmentation, and protects against environmental damage.

“It’s ideal for use around mid to late 20’s.”

Dr. Ourian said Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) and Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs) should also be used from the 20s onwards.

“These target dullness and can exfoliate the skin, improve texture and tone, and help with acne and hyperpigmentation,” he said.

Dr. Ourian revealed that a dedicated skincare routine should be teamed with quality sleep.

“You should aim for seven to nine hours of quality sleep per night,” he said.

Dr. Ourian previously told The U.S. Sun that if your family members tend to age early you need to be proactive with anti-aging measures.

He recommended reducing the risk of skin damage by routinely using antioxidants and sunscreen.

He said it’s “never too early” to have a routine that targets specific skin concerns and slow aging.
