THERE are tonnes of great Marvel games to play, and one of the best titles from the last few years has just dropped to its lowest price on PC and other platforms.

Gamers can save up to 80% on the game, which usually costs £50 / $60, so now is the best time to check it out.

Players across all platforms can grab Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy for cheap, and it’s a superfun superhero adventure
Although you only play as Star-Lord, you can quickly issue commands to the other Guardians during combat

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is offered for just £10.99 / $11.99 on Steam, in a limited-time offer that will run until August 12, 2024.

Similar deals, but at slightly higher price points, are also available to PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch players.

On console storefronts, the game now costs between £13.74 and £14.99, which is still a 75% discount on the list price there.

Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the freshest action adventure games of recent years, not just in the Marvel series but in general.

It’s a single-player story where you play as Peter Quill, known as Star-Lord, but you also get to issue commands to the other Guardians during combat.

Your companions never stop chatting with you, which in many other games quickly becomes annoying, but here it always feels fresh and fun, as the writing is quite good.

With a great score of 84 for its Xbox version on review aggregator Metacritic, the game has been praised for its humour, story, and meticulously detailed world.

On PC the game is rated 78, while on PS5 it got an 80, and with a user score of 8.6/10 players have rated the game even higher than critics.

While gameplay and combat are not super complicated and deep, they are always fun, and the system that lets you use your teammates’ abilities is very satisfying.

The game won the award for ‘Best Narrative’ at the 2021 Game Awards, as well as ‘Adventure Game of the Year’ and ‘Outstanding Achievement in Story’ at the 25th DICE Awards.

The only version of the game that feels inferior is on the Nintendo Switch, as it runs from cloud servers, which are known to cause issues.

If you missed the Epic Games Store’s free deal on Guardians of the Galaxy in January, this is the second-best way to grab the game.

PlayStation owners who have a PS Plus Extra and Premium subscription can still play it at no additional cost, so if you’re a member, you don’t need this deal.
