Rohit Sharma’s PERFECT Reaction After Suryakumar Yadav-Gautam Gambhir Lead India to T20I Series Win vs Sri Lanka Goes VIRAL

Pallekele: Suryakumar Yadav-led Team India beat Sri Lanka on Tuesday in a Super Over to whitewash the hosts. It was Washington Sundar who turned out to be India’s Super Over hero with the ball. The hosts would be gutted with the way they batted. The Lankans could not even chase 137. Following the win, Suryakumar and the entire team received praise from all quarters. But, it was former India T20I captain Rohit Sharma’s post that went viral. Rohit took to Instagram and shared a picture from the trophy-celebration moment and captioned it: “Perfect start. Well done Team India.”

Meanwhile, Rohit has already reached Colombo on Sunday and united with the squad. He would be leading the side in the upcoming three-match ODI series. Spotlight would be on him as he is making a comeback to the side after a short break.

Earlier, Kusal Perera (46, 34b) and Kusal Mendis (43, 41b) guided Lanka’s chase of 138 before their innings fell apart in the familiar fashion at the business end. SL ended up at 137/8 after stipulated 20 overs, taking the match to Super Over.

For India, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Rinku Singh and skipper Suryakumar Yadav took two wickets apiece. India needed just three runs to win in Super Over. Earlier, SL bowlers produced a tidy effort to restrict India to a modest 137/9.

Spinners Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana led the hosts’ bowling, sharing five wickets between them, as only Shubman Gill showed some spunk with a 39 in the company of Riyan Parag (26).
