Yellow weather warning, chance of mountain rain
A renewed yellow weather warning is in place for high temperatures on Wednesday, in effect from 11am until 4pm.
The day will be mostly clear with increased afternoon clouds in the mountains expected to bring isolated rains. Temperatures will rise to 40C in the interior, 33C on the west and south-west coasts, 37C on the remaining coasts, and 32C in the higher mountains. Winds will initially be variable, weak, up to 3 Beaufort, gradually turning south-to north-westerly, up to moderate, 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough.
Overnight will be clear with local light mist or fog expected inland and in the southeast during the morning hours. Temperatures will drop to 25C inland and on the coasts, and 20C in the higher mountains. Winds will be mainly south-to north-westerly, weak to moderate, up to 4 Beaufort. The sea will remain somewhat rough.
Thursday and Friday will initially be clear, with afternoon clouds and a chance of rains mainly in the mountains and inland.
Saturday will be mostly sunny.
Temperatures will remain steady through Thursday, while from Friday onwards a slight drop is expected.
