VIDEO: Simone Biles leads U.S. women to gold, Coco Gauff falls in controversy

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The United States women's gymnastics team climbed back to the top of the mountain Tuesday, claiming the gold medal with a dominant performance led by Simone Biles.
Biles recorded the top score in floor exercise and the second-best score in vault while Sunisa Lee recorded the best score on balance beam to push the Americans to gold after a disappointing silver at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
American Coco Gauff bowed out of the women's tennis tournament with a third-round loss to Croatia's Donna Vekic, and the loss came with a bit of controversy. Gauff argued that a line judge had called one of Vekic's shots out, but the chair umpire believed the ball was in and awarded Vekic the point, breaking Gauff's serve and moving Vekic's second-set lead to 4-2.
Gauff argued with the umpire to the point of tears streaming down her face at the famed Roland Garros where she had a similar dispute with an official during the French Open in June.
Gauff lost in straight sets 7-6, 6-2. She was the No. 2 seed in the tournament, but she's still in the mixed doubles draw with partner Taylor Fritz.
