NIPD says Jeanerette man wanted on murder, firearm charges
NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) -- A Jeanerette man is wanted wanted on murder and firearm-related charges in connection with the death of Jakari Gregoire, New Iberia police say.
Derrick Devante Mouton, 29, of Jeanerette, is wanted on charges of second-degree murder, aggravated assault with a firearm, aggravated criminal damage to property, possession of a machine gun and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, police say.
According to police, the shooting that claimed the life of 29-year-old Gregoire was reported just after 2:30 p.m. Friday in the 1000 block of Field Street.
