Amazon delivery driver accused of stealing customer’s pet cat
An Amazon delivery driver recorded petting a customer’s cat is being blamed for its mysterious disappearance.
A Washington state couple’s cat Feefee, 13, was last seen in July 21 CCTV footage on the driveway with the driver stroking it.
‘We saw when the driver was leaving, she was petting the cat and playing with the cat, which is not abnormal,’ Ray Ishak told KING this week.
The video does not actually show the driver taking the cat. It has a short lapse after the petting episode and then shows the Amazon truck driving away, with no trace of the furry animal.
‘There’s not a cat in sight,’ Ishak told the TV station. ‘It’s pretty obvious the cat disappeared in those seconds.’
Ishak said he contacted Amazon and claimed that the e-commerce company told him the driver had Feefee.
‘The driver contacted the police department to return the cat,’ Amazon wrote in an email.
Ishak, who had filed a report with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, said he then contacted the law enforcement agency.
‘They haven’t heard from anybody. I called the Everett PD and nothing,’ he said.
Ishak said he went back to Amazon asking for the driver’s city but that the company declined to disclose that information, and later recommended that they file a theft report.
Feefee’s absence has caused distress not only to himself but to other family members, Ishak said. He said he tried to hide the truth from his grandchildren who were in town over the weekend for a wedding.
‘The emotional distress for me having to lie to my grandkids that the cat is safe and fine, then, watching my granddaughters cry after they found out because they heard us talk about it,’ he explained.

‘It was a double whammy from every single front.’
Ishak has a blunt message to the driver: ‘Maybe you did this out of the kindness of your heart. I appreciate it, but bring me my cat back.’
The cat’s disappearance comes after an Amazon driver was video recorded allegedly trying to steal an Atlanta customer’s Red Nose Pitbull. After a confrontation between the driver and the dog owner, Amazon apologized to the customer and said the driver had terminated.
