Mariah Carey’s Twins Moroccan & Monroe Are Sparkling With Excitement After Meeting a Popstar: ‘We Are Obsessed’
Look up “dazzling” in the dictionary, and it’s just a photo of Mariah Carey. The Queen of Christmas sparkles everywhere she goes, and it seems she passed on that special glow to her 13-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan, who she shares with ex Nick Cannon. Carey posted new photos of the moment her teens met a famous popstar, and they are glowing with excitement.
“We are OBSESSED with @oliviarodrigo ????❤️” the “It’s a Wrap” singer posted on Instagram. She shared three pictures, including one of her and pop singer Olivia Rodrigo after a concert. Carey wore a sparkly t-shirt dress over black tights, with her straight, long blonde hair hanging over her shoulder. She smiles next to Rodrigo, who is wearing black tights with silver sparkly stars, sparkly hot shorts, and a “peace up! A-town down” tank-top referencing Usher’s song “Yeah!”
Of course the pop singers look great together, but we also love seeing Carey’s twins with their favorite singer. In the second photo, Monroe towers over the “Vampire” singer in an off-the-shoulder white tour t-shirt that says “I [heart] ur guts,” with Rodrigo’s initials “OR” making up the heart. She is beaming as she stands next to Rodrigo, wearing the same tights with sparkly silver stars.
Moroccan makes an appearance in the last photo, giving a “peace” sign to the camera as he wears an Olivia Rodrigo t-shirt with oversized jean shorts. His sparkles are in the form of a silver chain around his neck as Rodrigo rests her hand on his shoulder. Monroe, Carey, and one of Moroccan’s friends also pose in this group shot.
The “Déjà vu” singer commented on the cute photos. “ur the absolute greatest!!! thank u sm for coming❤️❤️❤️” she wrote. How cool is that?
Monroe also commented on the picture, clarifying something about her height. “guys i’m the same height as olivia im wearing boots,” she wrote. The teen also shared her own post on Instagram, writing, “this is so late but last tuesday was the best night of my life WHATT like @oliviarodrigo i love u so much i had the time of my life it was a dream fr (i need to be quiet when i recordddd ????) @livieshq”
Monroe shared pictures and videos of the concert, including one photo of a signed t-shirt that says, “Roe all my love!” from Rodrigo. How amazing would that be to get a personalized autograph from your favorite artist? It’s exactly how we would feel if Mariah Carey signed something to us!
Of course, Monroe and Moroccan are no strangers to performing either. Last fall, they joined their mom on her Merry Christmas One and All tour, where they got on stage with her. “I’m proud of them… They just know so many things and they’re like on top of everything,” the “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer told Entertainment Tonight at the time. “They’re gonna be coming around the country with me and doing their thing, and I’m excited to watch them.”
