'Atomic crazy': Trump nephew spills more dirt on his uncle

Fred Trump III, a nephew of former President Donald Trump, made waves recently when he claimed that he heard his famous uncle repeatedly use the N-word while blaming Black people after his car had been vandalized in the 1970s.

In a new interview with ABC News, Fred Trump III described life growing up in the Trump family, which he said was "complex and sometimes cruel."

"Within every family -- people know this -- families are complicated," he said. "Every family has their crazy uncle. My Uncle Donald is atomic crazy. And... he has put his mark on the family history."

When ABC News asked him to elaborate further on his uncle being "atomic crazy," Trump III replied that "he does things that, even as much as I know him when he's out there now, I sort of shudder and say, 'Is this the same guy I knew? What's making him change? … What got him this way?' But that all being said, I've always had a good relationship."

All the same Trump III, who is promoting his new book, "All In The Family," told ABC that the former president has "done really horrific things to me."

A Trump campaign spokesperson came out swinging at Trump III in a statement and said that "this is completely fabricated and total fake news of the highest order," while adding that "it is appalling a lie so blatantly disgusting can be printed in media."

That said, Fred Trump III is not the only Trump relative who has raised questions about his psychological stability, as Fred's sister, professional psychologist Mary L. Trump, has also repeatedly raised questions about her uncle's psychological stability.

Additionally, a number of former Trump officials -- including former Vice President Mike Pence, former national security adviser John Bolton, former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci, and former Defense Secretary Mark Esper -- have either declined to endorse him in the 2024 race or have even thrown their backing behind Vice President Kamala Harris.
