Govt receives 2 representations for 8th Central Pay Commission; no proposal under consideration

The government has received two requests for forming the 8th Central Pay Commission, but no proposal is under consideration at this time. The 8th Pay Commission is scheduled to be implemented on January 1, 2026. The 7th Pay Commission was established in 2014 and its recommendations took effect in 2016.
