After 30 years of legal battle, woman gets Rs 7 crore plot for Rs 4 lakh

After a three-decade legal battle, Lata Jain from Ghaziabad will receive a plot worth Rs 7 crore, despite having paid just Rs 50,000 in 1988. She initially booked the land to build a nursing home, but the Ghaziabad Development Authority later said it was disputed and offered a refund, which she refused. Jain's case was ruled in her favor by the state consumer forum in 2009, and the Allahabad High Court upheld this decision.
