A HAIRCARE fan has shared the unconventional technique she uses to tame her curls.

She revealed an inexpensive serum hydrates her hair and keeps it low mane-tenance.

Redditor Unfair_Finger5531 shared the haircare tip in a post.

She explained that instead of tossing skincare products that don’t work for her in the trash, she uses them on her hair.

“I tend to put them aside and try again later. Ninety-nine percent of the time, they are okay the second time around,” she said.

“The other 1%, I usually put in my hair.”

The money-saving tip, she explained, led to an unexpected haircare gold mine.

“I’ve discovered that Missha’s Red Algae essence is absolutely amazing for my curly hair,” she said.

“I don’t know; some products are okay the second time around.”

Others were instantly taken in by her trick and demanded answers, especially since Missha’s Time Revolution Red Algae Treatment Essence is currently on sale for $7.60.

“What?! I’m going to need a lot more explanation on how Missha is great for curly hair,” said one commenter.

“How do you use/apply it? What is it doing for your hair? It’s on clearance right now for $7, so I’m intrigued!”

The Redditor urged skincare fans to run, not walk, to pick it up.

“You better buy it!!! For 7 bucks? That’s a STEAL,” she replied.

She explained that the “unintentional” trick led her to realize that some skincare worked wonders on her strands.

“I discovered that most toners and essences work well in my curly hair,” she said.

“I style my hair wet in the morning after showering, and one day, I just decided to add a bit of toner to my leave-in.”

She was shocked by the difference the watery toners made.

“My hair was so silky, and my curls were popping! The Missha is such a hydrating product.”

To nourish her strands, she simply applied the toner directly.

“I just pour it my hand, run it through my wet hair, and it keeps it hydrated all day,” she said.

“I told my friend about it, and she started doing it too. Laneige Refiner also works well for both of us.

“I think it’s because they are basically just hydrators anyway. Also, I put Aestura 365 mist in my hair, and [my] hair LOVES ceramides. Get that essence!”
