FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Good Monday Evening,

It has been a fair day today, with scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder. Tonight, we will be watching as a developing cluster of storms to our west dives southeast toward the state, with chances of storms, and lows near 70. The best chances for rain and storms will remain in the southwest part of the state, but there is a good chance some of the weaker activity will reach north into our area.

Chances of showers and storms will remain for early on Tuesday, with some clearing expected, and highs back above normal in the upper 80s. Wednesday, we will have more chances of rain and storms in our area, as highs will be back near 90 on a muggy day. The heat will peak on Thursday, as we will have plenty of humidity as well, with better chances of scattered storms late in the day, with highs in the lower 90s.

Friday rain and storms will remain in the forecast, as we will have a weak system pushing toward our area, with highs still in the upper 80s to close to 90. A weak boundary will move into the state overnight into Saturday, and will drag across the area on Saturday, keeping rain and storms in the forecast, especially earlier in the day, which will lead to slightly more seasonal temps back in the middle 80s.

Behind this system, we should see clearing for Saturday night and lows in the mid to upper 60s. More sunshine, and drier air is expected for Sunday with highs in the upper 80s. We will have mostly sunny skies for the start of next work week, with highs around 90.
