EMPORIA (KSNT) - On Sunday, a juvenile man was arrested following an incident where a truck had crashed into a house.

At 4:05 a.m., deputies were called to the 400 block of Exchange Street for a report of an abandoned Ford F150. Later, at 4:19 deputies got another call for a loud bang in the 1600 block of K130.

When deputies arrived at the 1600 block of K130, they found a Chevy Silverado had struck a house. An investigation determined the juvenile male had stolen the F150 from the Emporia area and drove to the Neosho Rapids area where he stole the Chevy. According to the sheriff's office, the juvenile lost control of the vehicle on northbound K130, going into a field and striking the house.

The juvenile left the scene and was later found walking on the interstate by deputies, according to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office (LCPD).

The juvenile was arrested pending formal charges for felony theft 2x, leaving the scene of an accident, no driver's license and interference with law enforcement, according to a press release from the LCPD.

The sheriff's office says the investigation is ongoing and no additional information will be released.
