A COUPLE who were holidaying in Mexico were found dead just hours after celebrating a friends’ birthday.

Lindsay and Nick Jordan were found in their hotel rooms in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on July 14 after they failed to meet with pals to discuss the itinerary for the day.

The couple had travelled to the popular resort city to celebrate Lindsay’s 46th birthday, the Reno Gazette Journal reported.

Less than two days before the two were found lifeless in their room, the holidaymakers uploaded a handful of snaps of the pristine coastline.

“Not too bad from our room for our long weekend,” the caption read.

Their son, Deven Simms, has since been poring through police records trying to figure out what happened.

According to him, Mexican cops suspect their deaths were caused by drugs, however there are outlying discrepancies in “every document” concerning what those drugs were and its dosage.

Authorities have also ruled the fatalities as not suspicious, meaning the Jordan’s are ineligible to run independent autopsies in the United States.

“I know now we will never know,” Deven told the Gazette Journal.

“They were there with work friends too.

“They weren’t going to go and do that.”

Lindsay and Nick Jordan were said to be excited to jet off for the trip, and routinely sent over photos to their kids within 48 hours of their arrival.

In what is believed to be the final photo of the couple before their death, the duo are seen smiling after enjoying lunch at a local food spot.

“They were just happy and happy to be on this trip,” daughter Hailey added.

Deven and Hailey delivered the heartbreaking news to their younger sibling Sammy, 12, at their parents’ house in Reno, Nevada.

“We just said it as bluntly as we could,’ Deven said.

“I didn’t want her to have questions or not know right away they were no longer with us.

“We just wanted to surround her.

“We just wanted her to know she wasn’t alone.”

GoFundMe has been set up by the mother’s former workplace ‘to help support Nick and Lindsay’s children as they face the challenge of life without their parents.’

“Thanks to your donations, we have made significant progress toward our goal,” the fundraiser reads.

“Your contributions have covered the funeral expenses, and the additional support is helping to provide stability for the children as they adjust to life without their parents.

Deven, Haley, and Sammy are incredibly grateful for the love and support from each of you.

“Your kindness gives them strength and hope during this unimaginable time.

“If you haven’t had a chance to donate yet, it’s not too late.
