Man arrested for burglary in Paphos
Police on Sunday arrested a 35-year-old man for an investigated case of residential burglary and theft, as well as two cases of attempted burglaries.
According to the police, officers intercepted the suspect while he was driving and the 35-year-old attempted to escape. He was caught after driving his vehicle into a field, abandoning it, and fleeing on foot.
The man was found in possession of a small amount of illegal drugs, and burglary tools, as well as eleven factory firecrackers, four watches, two mobile phones, and a laptop, were found in his car.
Police arrested him on a court warrant and he was taken into custody for his alleged involvement in a case of residential burglary and jewellery theft committed in June in Paphos, as well as in two cases of attempted burglary committed in July, in the same district.
The case is under ongoing investigation.
