Woman miner dies in West Virginia's second coal mining fatality

CHARLESTON, West Virginia: A West Virginia woman, Ashley Cogar, tragically passed away on July 24, more than a week after suffering injuries in a coal mining accident.

The incident occurred at the Wyco Surface Mine, located near the border of Raleigh and Wyoming counties. She was 33 years old and resided in Erbacon, West Virginia.
