Emma Chamberlain Pops in Strappy Sandals at Ralph Lauren Team USA Celebration in Paris
Emma Chamberlain got in on the strappy sandal summer trend for the Ralph Lauren Team USA celebration in Paris, France on Saturday night.
Chamberlain’s sandals, which were likely from Ralph Lauren, were characterized by a slender strap across the upper part of her shoe. A separate strap was present around her ankle, with a buckle fastening that allowed for extra security while walking. The shoes also included a slighted-rounded toe box, and were doused in an all-white colorway.
The footwear featured a stiletto heel that featured a 3-to-4 inch stiletto heel, which tends to be the preferred range for many other celebrities who frequently wear high heels. Chamberlain paired her sandals with a matching pinstripe blazer and suit combo from Ralph Lauren, carrying a white clutch as her standout accessory. Pulling her hair back into a ponytail, she opted for a dewy makeup look.
Strappy sandals are a footwear style that has been around for decades, dating back to the early 1900s and going through many variations over the years. Strappy sandals can come in many different forms, including peep-toe designs, and have been praised for their versatility and ability to work well with a variety of outfits. Many brands including Chanel, Gucci, Burberry and more have offered multiple variations of the strappy sandal over the decades.
Chamberlain herself has even worn them to her high-profile events, counting Windsor Smith, Jeffrey Campbell, Simon Miller Louis Vuitton, Schiaparelli and more as some of her favorite footwear designers. For the the Schiaparelli spring 2024 show as part of Paris Fashion Week in September 2023, she was spotted in a pair of black stiletto pumps that featured gold accents, a pointed-pump design and a stiletto heel that ranged between 4-to-5 inches.
The 2024 Olympics officially begin on July 26. The multi-sport event will run from now until August 11.
