Tracy Beaker child star unrecognisable 18 years after first appearing as fan-favourite character as she joins TikTok
A KIDS TV star looks completely different 18 years after starring in fan-favourite series Tracy Beaker.
The BBC actress – who has gone on to find film fame – has recently launched a TikTok account, with her youthful look leaving fans stunned.
Montanna Thompson, 35, who played Justine Littlewood in the CBBC series from 2002, was the arch enemy of protagonist Tracy, a character taken on by Dani Harmer.
Based on Jacqueline Wilson’s book series, the BBC programme followed orphan Tracy and her mates in the children’s home which they dubbed the “Dumping Ground.”
The series – fully titled The Story of Tracy Beaker – aired on CBBC between 2002 and 2005.
Cheeky Justine often wore her brunette locks scraped back in a high ponytail, with huge gold hoop earrings.
For her latest TikTok video, the mum of two was captured strolling down a street and addressing her online absence.
She kept her same slicked-back hairstyle yet pulled on a pair of chunky black-rimmed glasses.
The screen star switched up her character’s sportswear style for a sophisticated yet casual black jumpsuit.
Londoner Montanna added a gold crucifix necklace to complete her look.
In her video she admitted “most” of her followers knew her for playing Justine, who sparked an iconic rivalry with Tracy after moving into her room while she was away.
Justine moved into the Dumping Ground after the death of her mother in order to help her father, who was struggling to cope.
Now Montanna, who has also starred in other shows including The Last Detective, Sugar Rush, Doctors, Casualty, Close Relations and The Trials Of Jimmy Rose, addressed her absence on social media in her TikTok.
She continued: “As my followers will know I haven’t been online for quite a few years now.
“But I’m back and I hope everyone is well and I wanted to say hello.
“I’ve got a new TikTok so if you want to follow me, you’re more than welcome.”
In her caption she added: “Thanks so much for the messages and support everyone love you all.”
One fan was quick to comment: “I know Justine Littlewood when I see her omg.”
A second added: “A true millennial icon.”
A third then noted: “You have not aged one bit.”
One then put: “No way thee queen Justine Littlewood has arrived.”
Actress Montanna welcomed a son in 2017.
She also starred in the movie Kill Or Be Killed that same year.
