Prohibition of Child Marriage Act applies to all Indian citizens irrespective of religion: Kerala HC

The Kerala High Court has ruled that the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 is applicable to every Indian citizen, regardless of their religion. Justice P V Kunhikrishnan ruled that the Act applies to all citizens, regardless of their religion. Child marriages deny children basic human rights, including education, health, and protection from exploitation.
