Netaji's grandnephew appeals to PM Modi to bring back his remains from Japan by Aug 18
Subhas Chandra Bose's grandnephew, Chandra Kumar Bose, urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bring back Netaji's remains from Japan's Renkoji temple by August 18. Bose stressed that the declassification of files confirmed Netaji's death in an air crash on August 18, 1945. He highlighted that Netaji's daughter wishes to perform his last rites in India and called for a memorial in Delhi. Despite ongoing appeals, the government has yet to respond. The Renkoji temple's high priest also supports returning Netaji's remains to India.
