Watch: Mentally Unstable Man Attacks Staff, Creates Ruckus In Andhra Pradesh Hospital
Kurnool: Panic gripped a government-run hospital on Saturday in Kurnool district after a mentally unstable man started creating a ruckus. The man, identified as Ediga Raghavendra, was brought to the hospital for treatment from Arekal village. He attacked the staff and began damaging medical equipment when the doctors attempted to treat him. In a video clip, Raghavendra can be seen standing on a bed with a medical instrument, threatening the hospital staff. As the video progresses, the man is overpowered by the hospital staff with the help of his family members. Later, he was tied to an electric pole.
The Raghavendra family had mentioned that he is dealing with mental health issues, which could be the root of his erratic conduct in the hospital.

Post managing to calm him down, the hospital team was swift in attending to his needs and arranging for his relocation to a healthcare establishment more equipped to cater to his ongoing treatment needs.
The hospital’s Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS), Srinivas Naik told media that the damage caused by the man is over Rs one lakh.
CMS Srinivas Naik has confirmed that a case related to the incident has been officially lodged at a local police station. He also mentioned that the necessary inquiry procedures have also been initiated.
