Trolls called me delusional for dating a prisoner in a different continent – now we’re married so I’ve proved them wrong
A WOMAN has hit back at trolls who called her “delusional” for dating a prisoner in a different continent.
Lorra Stewart took to TikTok to reveal that she is now happily married to the prisoner, so has proved the haters wrong.
“You’re so delusional he’s in prison in another continent, it’ll never work out”, she said, imitating the words of trolls.
She then shared a clip of herself and her husband, looking blissfully happy on their wedding day.
“What a lie”, she said, hitting back at the hate comment.
In a second video, Lorra, who lives in Dubai but is originally from Germany, revealed that she met her husband through a pen pal website called Write A Prisoner.
One day, when she was bored and homesick, Lorra decided to scroll through the website, and one US prisoner caught her eye, as it said on his profile that he loved poetry, an interest that Lorra also shares.
She sent him a message stating that she wanted to see some of his poetry and when she read it, thought that it was beautiful.
The couple continued to message and to chat over the phone, before quickly falling in love.
“It was a lot of effort, but we really wanted it to work”, she said.
After six months of chatting, Lorra decided that she wanted to meet her man, and travelled to the US for a prison visit.
Since then, the couple have had 14 visits and have taken lots of pictures together, so that they can cherish their memories.
After only being together for seven months, the couple decided to tie the knot, in a ceremony which took place inside the prison.
Lorra’s partner wore a white t-shirt and tracksuit on his big day, whilst she opted for a more traditional white dress.
She now has until 2025 to move to the US, as this is when her husband will be released from prison.
Discussing the struggles in her relationship, Lorra said: “This kind of relationship is not easy, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone due to it’s immense challenges.
