‘Just Leave Them’: Ex-India Star on Virat Kohli- Gautam Gambhir’s Relationship

There have been a lot of discussions regarding Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli’s relationship in the upcoming years during Gambhir’s time as Team India’s head coach. Virat and Gautam, who had a verbal fight in IPL 2023, have long ago moved on from that matter . However, the chit-chat about their bond remains to go on as both of them will now be seen working together for Team India. Dravid will be there as a head coach and Kohli as a player.

Anothrt important reason, to talk about their relationship, is how both Kohli and Gambhir do not hesitate and speak their hearts out, they carry an everything- right-in-your-face attitude.

“Whatever happened in IPL, they should keep it behind their back. They are very senior cricketers and they are mature sportsmen,” Venkatapathy Raju said in an exclusive interview.

“There will be be lot of discussions on social media. We should just leave them,” he added.

After the end of tenure of Rahul Dravid as India’s head coach, Gambhir came out as the clear and favourite candidate, especially since the work he had done in the IPL over the last 2-3years. As Virat has given his approval to play in India’s ODI series against Sri Lanka, it will be the first time he will be working with Gautam Gambhir under the same team.

Days ago, Gambhir made it clear that his relationship with Kohli is between the two of them and not for TRPs.

“Good for the TRP, but my relationship is not public. What kind of a relationship I share with Virat Kohli… I think it’s between two mature individuals,” Gambhir had said during a press conference.

India’s 3-match series has started with India taking a 1-0 lead to Sri Lanka. This series will be then followed by a 3-match ODI series.
