- We saw a trade between two contenders yesterday, with the Phillies acquiring outfielder Austin Hays from the Orioles in exchange for righty reliever Seranthony Domínguez and outfielder Christian Pache.
- It was an active day for the O’s, who made a move for Rays right-hander Zach Eflin after seemingly failing to make headway in their discussions for Garrett Crochet and Tarik Skubal.
- Mike Trout’s MRI on his knee came back clean, and he is expected to resume his rehab assignment any day now.
- Brewers manager Pat Murphy says that Christian Yelich will need back surgery at some point in the near future, but the team is hoping he can manage it until the offseason.
