One person hospitalized in Friday afternoon shooting in New Iberia

NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY) -- One person is recovering in a local hospital from injuries suffered in a shooting this afternoon in New Iberia, authorities said.
According to Capt. Leland Laseter with New Iberia Police, one person was injured in a shooting at approximately 2:30 p.m. today near the corner of Anderson Street and Field Street in New Iberia. While his condition was not released, officials said the victim underwent surgery, and is recovering.
New Iberia Police are investigating. No other details have been released.
