7/26/2024: Sunshine & low humidity

The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:

High pressure moving in from the west keeps us nice and bright and sunny these next few days. All the while, humidity stays low in the wake of yesterday's cold front.

Highs today will be in the low 80's across the Capital District. Many in Vermont, the Adirondacks, and the Catskills will struggle to warm past the upper 70's.

Tonight is the coolest night of the week ahead. Expect lows in the upper 50's in and around Albany. Those in the higher terrain may briefly dip down into the upper 40's by daybreak Saturday.

Not to worry, warm weather lovers - temperatures surge into the low or mid 80's across the region in the afternoon, with humidity staying low.

Sunday is warmer, but not too much more muggy, with highs in the upper 80's. Monday does look a little steamy, with dew points on the rise and a chance for a few stray showers moving in from the south.

High humidity and better shower/storm chances for the middle of the work week. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80's. Stay cool!
