NATIONAL SUMMARY

Much of the Southeast can expect a thunderstorm or two

tomorrow. The heaviest and most persistent thunderstorms

will have the potential to cause flash flooding in South

Texas. Elsewhere along the Texas coast, additional rain can

also lead to flooding problems. Afternoon thundershowers

will again develop in much of the Rockies. Northeastern

South Dakota, southeastern North Dakota and northwestern

Minnesota can get a thunderstorm. The Northeast will be

warm, but the humidity will be low for the middle of summer.

Temperatures will remain above the historical average in the

northern Plains, but record heat is not expected. High

temperatures will be much lower than recent days in the

valleys of California, but the deserts will remain

seasonably hot.
