Police arrest alleged car thief armed with a comb knife

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A Bronx man accused of stealing a vehicle was arrested in New Rochelle Wednesday afternoon, police announced Thursday.

Jvon Adams, 31, was taken into custody on unauthorized use of a vehicle and criminal possession of a weapon charges, according to the New Rochelle Police Department.

At around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, police were notified that a stolen vehicle was parked at the CVS Pharmacy at 222 North Avenue.

New Rochelle and Westchester County Police located the vehicle and set up surveillance. Adams was seen entering the car when law enforcement approached him.

Police say Adams had a comb knife in his possession and was taken into custody without incident.
