Met dept predicts heavy rain for parts of Andhra Pradesh, Yanam

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted heavy rainfall for three days starting July 24 in parts of Andhra Pradesh and Yanam. North Coastal Andhra Pradesh (NCAP) and Yanam are expected to experience heavy rains, while strong surface winds are predicted across the state until July 28, with speeds up to 30-40 km/h. The prevailing lower tropospheric south-westerly and westerly winds influence this weather. The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority reported stable conditions in the Godavari River, maintaining a second-level flood warning.
