Reigning NBA Champion Celtics Release Preseason Schedule
The Boston Celtics have their tune-up games in place before they get set to defend their NBA title next season.
The franchise on Tuesday announced its five-game preseason schedule, which is highlighted with a trip overseas to begin the slate. Boston will travel to Abu Dhabi for two exhibition matchups that will pit the two latest NBA champions against one another with the Celtics taking on the Denver Nuggets.
Here is Boston’s full preseason schedule:
Oct. 4: Celtics vs. Nuggets, 12 p.m. ET (Abu Dhabi)
Oct. 6: Celtics vs. Nuggets, 10 a.m. (Abu Dhabi)
Oct. 12: Celtics vs. 76ers, 8 p.m. (TD Garden)
Oct. 13: Celtics vs. Raptors, 7 p.m. (TD Garden)
Oct. 15: Celtics at Raptors, 7 p.m. (Scotiabank Arena)
All five of the preseason games will be televised by NBC Sports Boston.
With the preseason just a little over three months away, it won’t give much time for Boston’s trio of Olympians to rest. Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday and Derrick White are all representing Team USA. The gold medal game is set for Aug. 10.
The NBA has yet to release the regular-season schedule, but with the preseason slate all situated, that has to be around the corner. And with Boston coming off a championship, it surely will be prominently featured in the national spotlight.
