Alterra Group of Companies (Alterra), a real estate developer in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), will feature new work from local artist, Michael Awad.

Alterra’s midrise development, 321 Davenport, located in the Bedford neighbourhood of Toronto, has unveiled new hoarding that is wrapped in never-before-seen photography by Awad titled The Entire City Project: Art Toronto.

Awad’s new work was captured onsite at Art Toronto, Canada’s international art fair.

“Toronto has long been recognized as an international city of diversity and culture,” said Awad. “It hosts the largest artistic community in the country, and half of its residents were born outside Canada. Toronto’s culture scene, brings together artists and styles from across the country and around the world, creating a unique mix of local and global influences.”

The complete Art Toronto event is presented through photography in its entirety at 321 Davenport for the first time.

Through ribbons of imagery, to be seen contiguously from left to right, viewers will be able to embark on a walking tour of Art Toronto. The mural functions as both a visual inventory and an artistic interpretation of Canada’s art scene.

Art Toronto and Alterra are happy to present this artwork to the residents of Yorkville and the people of Toronto.

“As a supporter of Canada’s art and culture communities we are so pleased to be able to provide a platform for Michael Awad’s art,” said Stuart Wilson, president, Alterra. “Alterra buildings have taken part in shaping the city of Toronto’s skyline and we feel a synergy with how Michael has showcased his Entire City Project and the people and places that make up this city.”

Sculpted to fit its unique location, 321 Davenport offers a collection of 18 residences in a boutique midrise development. 321 Davenport embraces the gentle density of the Bedford neighbourhood and the entire private residence is influenced by the neighbourhood’s grace.
