Leeds United Have Asked About Attacker, Know Timeline During Which To Do Deal
Leeds United have made a move to land an attacker they have been linked with and they are also aware of the timeline they would have to get the deal done within, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
Daniel Farke’s side scored 81 goals in the Championship last season, fewer than top two Ipswich Town and Leicester City, and fewer than fourth placed Southampton.
Leeds also then could not score in the playoff final as they lost 1-0 to Southampton.
Farke wants more goals and he has turned to Blackburn Rovers attacker Sammie Szmodics.
Ipswich are also in for Szmodics.
Leeds have, despite suggestions to the contrary, been in to ask about Szmodics and they are also aware of the deadline Blackburn have put on the deal.
Blackburn are demanding that a deal for Szmodics must be done by the end of July.
They want ample time to sign a replacement if Szmodics does go.
The Ewood Park outfit are determined to make sure they get the right price for a player who top scored in the Championship last season.
He scored against Leeds last term.
