FELICITY (2.00 Lingfield, nap)
Big spenders Wathnan Racing coughed up a huge £350,000 for this daughter of Blue Point and she hasn’t yet lived up to that whopping price-tag. She has improved with each of her maiden runs, finishing fast on her first try of six furlongs at Brighton last time. That form looks quite strong and an opening mark of 67 in handicaps looks extremely generous. Wathnan’s main main James Doyle heads to Lingfield for the ride and the pair can get off the mark in style for William Haggas.
PFINGSTBERG (6.40 Wolverhampton, nb)
He got off the mark at Lingfield two starts ago, eased down to success over two miles. He ran over the same trip at Newmarket last time in a better grade and was only collared in the final strides under Sun Racing’s Hayley Turner. He has enough speed for the drop in distance and with the in-form Callum Shepherd aboard, he deserves another turn in the winner’s enclosure.
FANZONE (2.15 Musselburgh, treble)
This field is full of horses who are totally out of form, but that isn’t the case for Fanzone, who has gone close in his last three starts. His most recent run came over course and distance, where he pulled a cart throughout but was only beaten a length. The handicapper keeps him on the same mark and Tom Kiely-Marshall’s seven-pound claim seals the deal.
