I’m a size 8 & my mate is a 16 – we’ve found the best Primark summer dress that accentuates your hips & hides your tummy
TWO women are on a mission to prove that your body shape shouldn’t limit your fashion choices.
The best friends, Rebecca Sudwarts and Kate Seddon, have found four fabulous outfits that look great on all sizes.
And don’t worry, these stunning summer looks are from Primark – so if you’re on a budget, you’ll be pleased to know that they won’t break the bank.
Posting on social media, the fashion fans showed off their “realistic try on haul”.
The influencers penned: “We have teamed up to show you four key summer looks in two different shapes – these could really take you anywhere.
“From the beach, to brunch, to a wedding. They would even look great layered over a denim jacket in our British Summer.”
At the start of the clip, we saw Kate, who is five foot five and a size 8, alongside her bestie, Rebecca, who is five foot eight and in between a size 14 and a 16.
To kick off the haul, they first tried on a stylish striped dress, which was just £18.
Thrilled with the find, Kate beamed: “I’m really loving the shape. It accentuates my hips.”
To this, Rebecca then chimed in: “I actually think it’s creating an amazing shape on both of us. The chevrons are hiding my tummy, it’s super comfy, really flattering on both shapes.”
Following this, the pair tried on a colourful co-ord.
As they showed off the £12 top and matching £16 skirt, Kate asked: “How cute is this?”
Rebecca added: “This is a really lovely outfit. Also, it’s so generous, you can definitely size down. Loads of room.
“You could wear this for dinner, you could dress it up or down.”
For outfit three, the pair tried on the same £25 dress – which Kate wore in brown and Rebecca modelled in white.
Primark's history
PRIMARK first opened in 1969 as Pennies in Dublin, hoping to provide affordable fashion in Ireland.
A Primark store officially opened as Primark in 1974 in Derby.

Kate expressed: “I really like it,” whilst Rebecca continued: “It’s a very good price for this dress, it’s a really gorgeous broderie detailing.
“It’s very flattering, it’s pulling us in at the waist, hiding my tummy which is my problem area.”
Kate then explained: “There’s so much room in here, so great for eating out, you don’t have to worry about the bloat at all.”
Why is Primark the place to go to for bargains?
JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering on-trend items at such incredible prices? According to bosses, it's down to four points.
- They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that, they are able to make savings by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
- They “do very little advertising”
- While their clothes offer the “latest trends”, they “don’t use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
- And lastly, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight on shelf”.

For the final frock of the haul, we saw the best friends wearing a glamorous off the shoulder satin-style dress.

Following this, Rebecca concluded: “I actually can’t believe this is Primark, the colour is incredible.”
