Drugs, guns, $30K seized in Friday Breaux Bridge drug bust
BREAUX BRIDGE, La. (KLFY) -- Large amounts of drugs, guns and money were seized in a bust in Breaux Bridge Friday morning, authorities said.
Earl Maiben III, 45, of Breaux Bridge, was arrested, booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center and charged with the following:
- possession with intent to distribute cocaine
- possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine
- possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine
- possession with intent to distribute marijuana
- possession with intent to distribute Clonazepam
- possession of Chlorothiazide
- operation of a clandestine laboratory
- possession of a firearm in the presence of drugs (4 counts)
- possession of drug paraphernalia
According to St. Martin Parish Sheriff Becket Breaux, deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Task Force executed a narcotics search warrant in the 400 block of Castille Street in Breaux Bridge Friday. The resulting search of the property yielded 186 grams of cocaine, 11.8 grams of crack cocaine, 5.8 grams of meth, 39.6 grams of marijuana, approximately $30,000 in cash, four firearms (two handguns, one rifle, and one shotgun) and items associated with the operation of a clandestine drug laboratory, officials said.
Bond details were not released.
