GOP congressman describes creating mock Trump assassination in Texas field

Rep. Brian Fallon (R-TX) revealed that over the weekend that he pulled out an AR-15 to conduct his own mock assassination of Donald Trump using gun range outlines.

Fallon made the revelation at a House Oversight Committee meeting at which Secret Service Direct Kimberly Cheatle was grilled about failures that led to the assassination attempt of Donald Trump earlier this month.

Among Fallon's gripes was that Trump doesn't have "a CAT Team," or Counter Assault Team.

The Secret Service describes a CAT as being used only for the president and vice president of the United States, as they are the country's elected leaders. A former president holds no position of power in the government.

"I have never had any long-gun training in my life," Fallon said. "I own an AR-15 and last time I shot it, I shot it one time, my whole life, was six years ago. That is until Saturday."

Fallon revealed he and a group of people cosplayed in a Texas field to "recreate the events" that unfolded on July 13. Standing in for Trump was a human outline on paper.

I was lying prone on a sloped roof at 130 yards at 6:30 at night," he continued.

"You know what the result was?" Fallon began yelling. "Fifteen out of 16 kill-shots! And the one I missed would have hit the president's ear. That's a 94% success rate."

Fallon went on to berate the Secret Service leader for being "inept" and lacking skill and leadership. He accused her of "obfuscating" the hearing by refusing to answer questions about the "techniques and procedures" the Secret Service uses.
