Gauhati HC issues notices to Karimganj BJP MP, EC and returning officer

The Gauhati High Court issued notices to BJP MP Kripanath Mallah, the EC, and the returning officer following a petition from defeated Congress candidate Hafiz Ahmed Rashid Choudhury. Allegations of electoral malpractices, including rigging and booth capturing, have been raised. Next hearing scheduled for August 19.
