Ofcom announces all small-scale DAB winners for round 5

All of the licence awards for round 5 of the small-scale DAB multiplex process have been announced by Ofcom.

There were 26 areas applied for in the South West region, plus three re-advertised licence areas, which were awarded last year.

Only one area, Biggleswade and North Herts, has not been granted a licence.

In a change of procedure, every award has been announced at once rather than a few at a time, but has taken over a year to be confirmed by the regulator.

This round includes the prestigious London licences made up of ‘North London’, ‘South London’ and ‘West London’ and ‘North East London & South West Essex’.
